‍About me

‍As a filmmaker and cinematographer I can look back on more than 20 years of experience in the arts and entertainment industry.

‍I graduated from the Film University Babelsberg and the California Institute of the Arts. On recommendation of Allen Daviau, ASC I received additional training at Columbia Pictures, TriStar and Otto Nemenz International.

‍As a mentee of Laszlo Kovacs, ASC and John Bailey, ASC I interned on mainstream feature films like “Multiplicity” and “As Good As It Gets”. In addition I received a scholarship from the Academy Foundation (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences), the award-giving body responsible for the Oscars.

‍

‍Besides studying cinematography and film I earned a degree at the faculty of law from the European University Viadrina. My master's thesis I wrote on mega sporting events as a mediation platform for international conflict management

‍

‍I am a member of the German Society of Cinematographers (BVK), the Federal Association of Green Film & TV Consultants Germany and the Association for the Promotion of the Science and Practice of Mediation.

‍Currently I am working as a freelance cinematographer and film teacher in Europe and Asia focusing on documentaries, art projects and feature films.
